On June 18–19, 2025, the U.S. Soybean Export Council (USSEC) hosted the “Sustainable Solutions with U.S. Soy” conference in Ho Chi Minh City. The event marked a major milestone: 30 years of partnership between the U.S. Soy industry and Vietnam. With government officials, industry leaders, and sustainability experts in attendance, the conference was a platform for sharing insights and ideas to advance Vietnam’s food and livestock production systems.

Ms. Tran My Hanh, Country Director of USSEC Vietnam, delivers the opening remarks at the conference.
Honoring Three Decades of Sustainable Partnership
Under the theme “Advancing Food, Feed and Livestock Production in Vietnam,” the conference celebrated a legacy of trust, collaboration, and forward thinking. From American soybean growers to Vietnamese feed and food manufacturers, this enduring relationship is built on three core values: Sustainable – Reliable – Together.
From Policy to Practice: Highlights from the Conference
The program opened with keynote speeches from representatives of Vietnam’s Ministry of Agriculture, the U.S. Consulate, and USSEC. These remarks focused on public-private collaboration, food security, and green growth as shared priorities.
Key themes included:
- U.S. agricultural innovations in sustainable land and water use, traceable supply chains;
- Adapting to evolving EU regulatory frameworks for agri-food exports;
- Applying technology in sustainable production (IoT, digital farming, biotech);
- Business case studies from MAVIN, TH Milk, and Ichiban on integrating sustainability into operations;
- Sectoral breakout sessions on livestock, aquaculture, and food consumer trends.
Across sessions, participants exchanged ideas on nutrition efficiency, value chain transformation, green consumption, and the growing role of sustainability certifications, including SSAP, SUSS, FSUSS, ASC, BAP, and GLOBALG.A.P.

Industry experts share insights and address questions from the audience during an interactive discussion.
Looking Ahead
As Vietnam’s agri-food industry modernizes, sustainability is no longer a nice-to-have—it’s the new norm. From carbon-smart feed formulation to traceable aquaculture and certified food labeling, this year’s conference reaffirmed a shared belief:
The future of food, feed, and agriculture lies in collaboration.
And for the past 30 years, U.S. Soy has stood beside Vietnam every step of the way: Sustainable – Reliable – Together.
As one of USSEC’s long-standing partners in Vietnam for over two decades, VIET-ACC is proud to contribute to a more sustainable soybean supply chain through trade facilitation, industry connections, and technical support for feed and food businesses.

The signing of the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between USSEC and PSAV marks a long-term commitment to advancing sustainable agriculture in Vietnam.
